Give it a crack under the guided hand of: Rick Petersen – “We will look at different ways of lighting fire and then concentrate on material selection, preparation and, in a step by step process, we will work on the most primitive method of achieving fire! Friction!”

Traps and Snares
8:00am-12:00pm

Rekindle some of the bushcraft skills of your forefathers – the ability to set a snare, and pick up a meal for the family! And maybe one for the dog!
The ability to live off the land is a skill that is almost lost.
Join Rick, who will take you through the processes of: selecting a site, type of snare, the sequence of construction for animal traps, activate the traps and look at how functional your snare would have been in a Survival situation. No animals will be captured during this workshop.
Cost $175 pp (max: 8, min: 2 participants)
Morning tea and most equipment provided
~ Participants are to bring a 6-inch full tang knife or good quality multi tool ~
